When i first watched in the night garden with my daughter i found it really complicated to know who was who and what they where called.
He’s the blue dude that carrys his red blanket around everywhere. He looks like a teddy bear. If he falls over don’t worry he’s probably suprised. Igglepiggle doesnt speak but he has a bell in his left foot a squeak in his tummy and a rattle on his left hand.
2: Upsy Daisy
Shes like a rag doll with brown coloured skin, with really brightly coloured clothes, her hair will stand on end when excited or suprised. Often makes funny noises and commonly says her own name.
3: Makka Pakka
This little guy is a creamy colour and loves cleaning things including the other in the night garden characters. Makka Pakka will often sing his own song. He’s often seen pushing his Og-Pog aka a trolly which carrys soap and his sponge for cleaning. Makka Pakka is a lot smaller that the other carachters exluding The Wottingers and The Pontipines.
4: The Tombliboos
Unn Ooo and Eee these tubby little guys seem to live on the inside of a hedge which has multiple levels and is connected via chutes and ramps. Unn is Red & Green, Ooo is Brown and Purple, Eee is Pink and Yellow. Unn is the only female Tombliboo.
Joe is now probably best known for his recent role in This is England 86.
When i first saw This Is England the film i thought he was a great actor and played the part of Woody well. After the film he went on to Emmerdale where he played Eli Dingle. Joe’s voice makes him stand out from the crowd. He usually plays bit of a jack the lad style character.
I did a Post on David Tennant when he left Dr Who, saying how hes been the best recent Dr Who and how when Matt Smith leaves they should bring him back.
Heres a Youtube clip containing varying scenes from the last Dr Who series
He’s doing a new program called Single father, which looks really good. Its great to see him back on TV, even if it isn’t as the Dr.
Dean Lennox Kelly
You’ll probably know him best as Kev Ball from Shameless, yes he had a ring’d Ford XR3i. After this he didnt really do much.
He did appear as Shakespeare though in Dr Who and he did a really funny film called Frequently Asked Questions About Time travel, and below is the funniest sketch from the film and shows Dean at his best.
He’s done a few films, but is famously known and associated with Jim Royle. The Royle Family was a massive hit in the 1990’s and is one of those programs you could watch all day. Jim always makes a joke about Cheryl’s weight which i love. Best shown around 40 seconds into the below clip
Jack Duckworth will always be associated with Coronation Street and his actor William (Bill) Tarmey will always live as a street legend. Below is Jacks final scene in Coronation Street. Which was really fitting for him.
Bill Threaten to quit the street in 197 and 2001, but his love for the street kept him there. in 2009 Bill only played Jack part time due to health problems, he made appearances in the Rovers or Roys Rolls. It was announced in April 2010 that he would be leaving the street for the last time.
Jack made his on screen deut in 1979 but it wasn’t until 1983 when Jack and his wife Vera moved to the street.
