Now the Winter nights are drawing in, i have been thinking about joining a gym. I have some weights and small multi gym at home, but the multi gym doesnt have enough weight for me, and i don’t like to push my self on the bench press as there’s nobody there to spot me, so i thought about joining a gym again.

About 1 year ago i went to Ripon Lesiure Centre Gym, but its a bit small and often gets busy. The free weights where pretty limited and i was using 2 x 20KG free weights for bench pressing and 15KG for most other things, but since there was only one set of each you could often be waiting for a set of weights. The only thing that was a benift was £1 swimming at harrogate Hydro

I’ve been to Edge Health And Fitness today in Ripon and was quite impressed with the setup. There was a good selection of free weights and often 2 or 3 sets of the same weight, the free weights go from 2KG right to 45KG.

They have a good range of resistance machines and Cardio machines.

Prices are also resonable aswell £30 monthly if you setup by standing order and £35 if you pay cash. Inductions are also free and the best bit is that there is not contract so your free to cancel when you want.
